When are the final College Football Playoff rankings announced?

The debate began when the College Football Playoff committee unveiled its first set of rankings at the end of October. But it didn’t end there.

The first of six weekly rankings were unveiled Tuesday, Oct. 31. That began the journey to selecting the four College Football Playoff teams for this season’s semifinals, which will be played Jan. 1 at the Rose Bowl Game and Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Here are some need-to-know facts about the 2017 College Football Playoff rankings.

When are the next College Football Playoff rankings released?

The first installment of the 2017 College Football Playoff rankings were revealed Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. on ESPN. There will be six sets of rankings leading up to the College Football Playoff in 2018.

After the initial CFP rankings, there will be four new sets of rankings every Tuesday in November leading up to the final set of rankings on Sunday, Dec. 3.

How to watch the CFP rankings show

ESPN televises the College Football Playoff rankings on its family of networks, but times are flexible throughout the process. Check your TV listings for the right ESPN channel, or live stream online or via the ESPN app.

When is Selection Day for the College Football Playoff?

Selection Day is Sunday, Dec. 3, and that’s when the four teams for the 2017 College Football Playoff semifinals will be selected.
